About
Meet Dana Zuskin, M.S., LMHC, LPC. Warm, collaborative, thoughtful.
A Licensed Professional Counselor in Fairfield, licensed in Connecticut and Florida.

About me
Hi, I'm Dana.
My style is warm, collaborative and thoughtful. I'm direct but not directive: I'll openly share my thoughts and ideas with you, but I won't tell you what to do.
My work focuses on understanding how you act, think and feel today in the context of your past experiences. I believe people are uniquely shaped by their early relationships, especially family relationships, and by what life brings after.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Miami and my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Florida Atlantic University. During my internship at the Center for Group Counseling in Boca Raton, I worked with individuals, couples and families, and led groups for people going through separation and divorce.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to help people reach their goals through counseling.

Working with me
What you can expect

Therapy begins with you feeling comfortable with me. Then I give you all the time you need to tell your story, and together we set goals for what you want from therapy.
- We look for the root cause, not just the symptoms.
- I'm direct, but I won't tell you what to do.
- We explore your past only if it's relevant.
- Compassion for yourself is part of the work.
